Traffic Infrastructure

Situation and trend of expanding the town's settlement today is clearly oriented north of town's centre, which moves the spatial development centre of gravity far onto the left Drava bank.

Puhov bridge

Construction of Puhov bridge has improved the road traffic fluidity through Ptuj. Construction of the bridge included also part of the bypass pass the town centre, which will substantially reduce urban environmental burdening with exhaust gases and noise. Construction is intended for transit as well as local traffic and has essentially shortened travel time between Ormož and Slovenska Bistrica and between Ormož and Maribor.

Road links and roundabouts

During the construction of Puhov bridge road link through the existing industrial zone following former Puhova Street was also built.
In order to relieve the rush hours connecting road between Puhova and Rogozniška street was built as well. To ensure normal road traffic fluidity six roundabouts were built, and they are foreseen also for Mariborska road and Maistrova Street.
