Traditional Fairs
Jurjev sejem (George’s Fair)
Jurjev sejem (George’s Fair) opens the season for traditional fairs in Ptuj. It takes place on the streets and squares of the town on April 23. There are approximately 150 manufacturers and sellers from all over Slovenia that gather on this fair and offer a great variety of products. On this day a Medieval market is also organized
Ožbaltov sejem (Oswald's Fair)
Ožbaltov sejem (Oswald's Fair) takes place on the streets and squares of the town on August 5. This is also the day of the Ptuj Municipality, so there are many organized events all over the town.
Katarinin sejem (Catherine's Fair)
Katarinin sejem (Catherine's Fair) takes place on the streets and squares of the town on November 25. There is the largest number of sellers offering the greatest variety of goods at this very fair. This is also the fair where second hand goods are mostly traded.

Cvetlični sejem (Floral Fair)
In spring and in days before November 1 two floral fairs take place in Ptuj.
Pustni sejem (Carnival Fair)
Pustni sejem (Carnival Fair) takes place in days before the Carnival and during the Carnival. The date is determined according to day of Shrove Tuesday. Usually it comes after the Candlemas, which falls on February 2 every year. The goods offered are carnival accessories and decorations.
Christmas and New Year Fair
In December there is also Christmas and New Year Fair. You can visit the stands with dried fruit, Christmas decorations and holiday gifts.
