City Council

City council is the highest decision-making body for all affairs within the framework of rights and duties of the municipality and thus represents the municipality legislature.

It consists of 29 representatives of political parties. Members of city council are elected for the period of four years.

City council publishes tender invitations and gives proposals for presenting the prizes and other awards of Ptuj Municipality.

Awards of Ptuj Municipality are the following: honorary citizen nomination, golden plaquette, plaquette, large oil lamp, oil lamp and memorial award of Ptuj's coat-of-arm with the figure of Saint George.

City council includes city council committees and boards as well as supervisory board and election committee.
